CIOSP 2018 success signals economy’s resumption
The success of the CIOSP - São Paulo International Dental Meting, 36th edition revealed the effort of the dental industry to overcome the economic crisis and follow the pace of growth. The event, which took place between 31 January and 3 February, had approximately 112 thousand people registered and had an average of 205 company stands.
More than good numbers, the congress brought to the fore Brazilian entrepreneurship and the search for professional improvement. Adriano Forghieri, president of the APCD (Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons), organizer of the event, stresses the importance of the meeting, both for companies and professionals.
"The Ciosp is a real sample of how we are all prepared to improve things, within our means. In this edition, there were no thunderous releases, but almost every exhibitor implemented small improvements to attract new buyers," Forghieri says.
Still reaping the fruits of the 36th edition, Ciosp organizers are already planning the event's growth for next year. Forghieri celebrates the initial number of entries confirmed for the 2019 congress, which will take place between January 30 and February 2.
"In the event of launching the 37th edition of Ciosp, the exhibitors' adhesion was even more surprising than the current edition. Not to mention the international pavilion, which hosts exhibitors from several countries in South America, North America, Europe and Asia. This shows us how much their expectations have been achieved and how much they are willing to continue investing in this segment", Forghieri says.
